Sculpture

35The sculpture collection, which dates back to the XV century, is composed of some relevant pieces, namely the two gothic images of S. Sebastian, one made of limestone and the other of wood, a collection of Christ pieces, where among which, several of them should be noted, such as, from the XVIII century, a crucifix made of Ivory, of Indian-Portuguese origin. a Christ with gothic features of the XVI century, a metallic sculpture of S. João Baptista as a child, of the XVIII century, an image made of polychromed wood, of our Senhora das Dores of the XVIII century, of the Machado de Castro style – several images of S. João Baptista and of S. João Evangelista, and many more sculptures representative of the Christian iconography.
